Our goal is to make ordering a cake or sweets as easy as possible, which is why we put together a few of the most frequently asked questions. Why Sugar Free?

The way people eat is changing. Consumers are more aware of the harmful and addictive qualifies of table sugars, and our goal as a bakery is to provide sugar free, health conscious treats for a generation of people who are looking to satisfy their "sweet tooth" without having to use table sugars. 

Sugar free can mean many things, but the Sugar Free Shack uses a whey sweetener that lower in calories, carbs, and glycemic index and taste just as good as normal bakery items.  What we never use is traditional table sugars or chemical sweeteners.

How to do I order a cake?

There are two ways to get a cake from the Sugar Free Shack:

  1. we always have an assortment of daily cakes ready to grab and go. Just come in and pick out your favorite one; no need to order in advance.
  2. custom cakes: the second way to get a cake is with a custom order. If you have a wedding, birthday party, or event coming up we can make the cake of your dreams. Typically, we prefer customers to place their order 1 to 2 weeks in advance, so we can take the time to produce the perfect cake for your event.
    However, there are instances where we can “rush order” a cake, if you have a last-minute event. Just give us a call, and if we have the time, we’ll add it to the schedule.

How much does a custom cake cost?

Custom cake prices depend on the number of people you plan to feed and the complexity of the design. We cannot quote a standard price for a custom cake, because it really depends on what you need. However, cake prices can start in the $60 range—something small and with a simple design—and go up from there (into the $100’s), depending on your needs. Just give us a call, and we’d be happy to quote you a price.

When do I pay?

A 50% deposit is required to book your order. The rest of the balance can be paid during pickup or anytime beforehand. If you are having your cake delivered, the remaining deposit must be paid prior to delivery.

What types of payment do you accept?

Cash, credit card, Paypal, Venmo … no checks, money orders, or cashiers check will be accepted.

What are my cancelation options?

All security deposits are non-refundable. Any orders cancelled a week prior to the scheduled due date will not be charged the remaining balance of the cake. If you cancel within a week of your date, the customer will be responsible for the remaining balance. If your event is canceled or rescheduled, let us know as soon as possible.
